When two worlds collide, nightmares become reality. And some secrets...are best kept in Oblivion.
...Until there is hope.

Have you ever wanted to forget? Nariella Woodlinn has. Many times. Especially when her already frustrating life gets turned upside down by a mysterious boy who randomly shows up in her small town. And she can't seem to understand anything about him, despite how much she tries.
Nari hates everything about her life, except for her best friend Rydan, but now that they've been separated during their senior year of high school, she has to learn to make new friends without him. When strange, unexplainable phenomena start becoming an every day part of her life, Nari struggles to come to grips with reality. And with love.

~
Naminé has responsibilities. Duties. It is her obligation to fulfill all that is asked of her by their King. But when a glimmer of hope is introduced to her by a prisoner she tends to, it means life or death for her and her people. She does all that she can to turn that hope into reality, and finally end the vicious war that has been ensuing since she was born. Even if that means keeping it secret from her King. Even if it means carrying out the biggest betrayal against the King ever seen during her time.
She has hope. She will fulfill her duty. She will not let her people down.

Excerpt:

As I walked out of the store, I stopped in my tracks upon seeing this lone figure leaning against the wall outside. He was wearing dark jeans and a dark fitted long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves pushed up to his elbows, exposing his perfect lightly tanned skin. His shirt hugged his muscles just right, accentuating he was tall and slender. A shadow fell just over his face so I couldn’t quite see it, and his black hair was gently layered over his eyes, but it looked like he was giving death stares to a map.
He could have been the devil or maybe an angel, I wasn’t sure. But one thing I did know was he took my breath away. Something about him screamed dangerous yet extremely alluring, leaving me completely mesmerized. My eyes fell to his neck, marked by the strangest tattoo I had ever seen. I thought it was a tattoo anyway. It was really hard to tell through the shadows and distance I was standing from, but it looked to be a mixture of ink and…scars? It was small and sat right in the middle of the left side of his neck.

I quickly turned on my heel before he noticed me gawking at him, feeling like a complete idiot for standing there as long as I did trying to make out his tattoo…thing. Whatever it was. Either way, I tried to catch the breath that I somehow lost just from his presence. I had no idea what was wrong with me; apparently I'd gone crazy.

Excerpt:

I didn’t want to open my eyes. I knew that if I did, the moment would be spoiled. I stayed cradled on my side and relished in the serene oasis I found myself basking in. I pulled myself into a tighter ball and smiled.
“What the bloody hell are you doing, love?” a familiar British accent asked in a low tenor voice, while lightly chuckling. I stopped breathing and stilled in response. I clenched my eyes closed even tighter. Please don’t be a dream. Please don’t be a dream. Please don’t be a dream.
Gentle fingers began sifting through my long hair, and then carefully tucked some away behind my ear.
“Are we dead?” I asked in a small voice, still refusing to open my eyes.
“No. We’re not dead. But you can hear me this time?” Mycah asked as he softly put his fingers to my chin and forced my head to move in his direction. I decided to give in and open my eyes.
I sucked in oxygen while my heart leapt in response from his expression. He looked—ravishing. How was it possible each and every time I saw him I was taken aback by how sexy he was? If this wasn’t heaven, then I must be dreaming, and dang was it an amazing one.
“Are you sure...we’re not dead?” I asked again. My pulse quickened at his touch and the way he ran his thumb over my bottom lip, licking his own perfect, kissable mouth.
“Do you want to be dead?” He smirked in his familiar sexy way and gazed up at me through his eyelashes. I got lost in the way his messy midnight hair glistened blue in the sun as the wind played with it.
Dang it.
Why did I let him do this to me, even in a dream?!

I shook my head to break free from the trance he always seemed to put me under. But I knew he couldn’t help it. I was just a crazy person, that’s all.
